Last Post
This will be my last post on my blog since my second class is finished today:) There were some technology problems with the discussion board at the beginning, but things seemed to be fine the last couple of weeks. I was so excited to finish my volcano web quest and post it Sunday night. I have over 40 websites on my delicious account and have blogged every week. We do not have to meet for our new class until the weekend of January 16th so it will be a nice to have free weekends until then. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. See you January 2010:o)

Final Project Complete
I just finished my web quest on volcanoes and posted it to the discussion board!! I enjoyed working on this project and had fun creating something different for my students to complete. I have enjoyed all of the projects that I have had to complete for this class. I have learned a lot of new technology information since starting my masters. I can't wait for the other classes that I will take over the next year.

Happy Wednesday
As of last night all of the Smartboards have been installed at Blackwell. I am testing this week, so I have been able to see many great lessons that are already being taught using the Smartboards. All of the students are very excited!! I worked with a Kindergarten class yesterday using the question of the day moving their name under which was their favorite: carrots or candy canes. It will be very exciting to see the wonderful things the teachers at Blackwell will do with the Smartboards.

Out of the Box SMARTBoard Training
This afternoon I was in a training for the smart boards that my school is getting in all of the classrooms. It was great that some of the things that we learned in the training are things that I have learned throughout my technology classes. I am excited about using the smart boards and hope that some of the technology classes that we are scheduled to take will have things that we can use with the smart boards. We also got a new document camera that is wonderful and is such a great technology tool to use:o)

Rainy,Cold Sunday
It was so hard to get out of bed this morning in the cold and rain and come to class. I now know how it feels when the students have to get out of their warm beds to come to school. I finally completed my web page!!! I am ready to start my web quest on volcanoes. I have enjoyed this class and the great ideas that people have to share.

Thanksgiving Break:o)
The Thanksgiving break is finally here!! We have the whole week off from school and I am so excited. My birthday is on Tuesday!! I am going to have a fun day of pampering in the morning, lunch with my family and ending the night with dinner and a movie with my husband. We have class today and tomorrow so I have been working hard on my ESOL Math and Muffins website. We are doing class presentations today which will be fun for me since I do not have a voice. I will be ready to go home and rest when class is over this afternoon.

Black Cloud
I am ready for the black cloud to sail away from the top of my house. The last few months have been very trying with my families health. I am trying to stay above water, but feel like I am drowning. Having computer problems while taking a Masters of Technology program does not help with my stress level. I did not get to post anything last week so I am going to post twice this week. I will be so happy when class is over this weekend and I can have the whole week off to spend with my family and catch up on all of things I have had to put off!!

Math & Muffins

What a week this has been. We did not have school on Tuesday so the week seemed like it was going to go on forever. I have working on my questions for Survey Monkey and am almost finished. We had our ESOL Math and Muffins morning on Monday and had a wonderful turn out. I have gotten great information for my website and questions for my survey. The parents and students had a great time. I used the pictures that were taken that morning and created a Photo Story. I shared it with out staff and have gotten wonderful comments from the staff. I am so glad that it is Saturday and plan on catching up on all the things I need to finish:o)

Happy Friday
It has been a very long week. I am so glad that it is Friday. I wanted to post something earlier this week, but have been very crazy at school, home, and working on classwork. I can't believe that it is almost November and we have been working on our masters since August. My goal this weekend is to add more sites to my delicious account, do my survey on Survey Monkey for Math and Muffins, and read Chapter 1. Hope everyone has fun trick-or-treating:o)

ECOMP 6008-Our First Class Meeting
Today we started our second class for the fall semester-The World Wide Web as an Educational Resource. It has been very interesting to learn about social book marking, setting up our class mailing list, and setting up our blog page. I am enjoying this class and the new information that I have learned.
